The Jean Griswold Foundation Appoints Sarah Barker to Board of Directors

As the founder of Senior Care Sales Solutions, Barker will apply her senior living and Caregiver advocacy background to help guide the national nonprofit’s expansion of its scholarship program.

BLUE BELL, PA – July 2026 – The Jean Griswold Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Sarah Barker, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA®), to its Board of Directors. As the founder of Senior Care Sales Solutions, Barker brings a wealth of experience in strategic business development and industry advocacy, now joining the leadership team to further the foundation’s mission of supporting frontline Caregivers nationwide.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Sarah to our Board of Directors of the Jean Griswold Foundation," said Michael Slupecki, Board Member of the Jean Griswold Foundation and Griswold CEO. "Sarah's deep dedication to the senior living sector and her proven expertise in driving sustainable growth make her an invaluable addition. Her insights will play a critical role as we continue to scale our scholarship programs to ensure the long-term sustainability of the caregiving profession."

Barker’s work with Senior Care Sales Solutions and the Senior Care Sales Solutions Academy empowers home care agencies and eldercare professionals to build sustainable growth through strategic referral partnerships. Her continued professional focus on improving standards across the aging care ecosystem aligns seamlessly with the core objectives of the foundation.

"The Jean Griswold Foundation does vital work in elevating Caregivers and funding educational opportunities that champion the needs of our aging population," said Barker. "It is an incredible honor to join this board, and I look forward to contributing to a mission rooted so deeply in compassion, ongoing education, and community advocacy."

Since embarking on this scholarship mission in 2022, the Jean Griswold Foundation has awarded more than 150 scholarships, funding over $365,000 in tuition support. From Hawaii to Florida, the Jean Griswold Foundation supports family and professional Caregiver scholars around the country. This year’s fundraising goal is $200,000, which will expand opportunities and increase the impact in communities across the United States.

As a board member, Barker will be involved in scholar selection, provide strategic operational counsel, and champion initiatives aimed at funding Caregiver scholarships to help address the growing national demand for professional elder care.

With the U.S. projected to face a shortage of over 250,000 registered nurses by 2028, the need for compassionate, highly trained care professionals has never been greater. As education costs continue to rise, scholarships play a critical role in helping Caregivers advance their careers, increase their earning potential, and build long-term financial stability. The impact extends far beyond the individual, creating lasting benefits for families and their entire communities.
